I was born in the suburban community of Simi Valley California in 1981 at that time it was a minimum of thirty minutes to get anywhere you would want to go . As I grew up it got even worse adding up to hours to daily drives. This long drive time and basic car safety for a child left me in the backseat of the car looking out the window for hours. Looking back on this as an adult, I realize that it was during these driving trips I started to view things through a frame. Even then looking through these “framed” images of the United States I wondered about the people I saw and the stories they lived.
